In some of my past work I used downloaded free sounds while I was still discovering my style and learning music production.

I am unable to track the origin of a specific knocking sound that I used in Quiet Girl,
which later become a derivative for the kick drum in The Ruins. It is possible (although I believe unlikely)
that I may have incorporated the following tom drum sample into the original sound. IF this is the case,
it would have undergone pitch shifting, possible reversals, and other affects to drastically change the original sound.
